Don’t Wait For Your Dream To Come To You, Go Get It

This afternoon I tuned into Life in the Spirit on WDKK radio on Blogtalk. The usual hosts are Stacy Latasaw and Angel Eyes, I don’t know Angel’s last name but she and Stacy make great co-hosts. They really complement each other.
Today, however neither of them were on. It was D A Williams all by himself. He sent me a message to call in if I wanted to promote this station, you see WDKK is our Parent station. Anyway, I got myself together, even though I really didn’t feel like it. I just wanted to listen to the ladies and get some encouragement. But I did call in and DA was speaking about following the desires of your heart. He was speaking about the man at the pool of Bethesda.
The man laid there for 38 years praying an angel to come down and trouble the water. He had high hopes he would be the one to get into the pool and be made whole. When Jesus came the man wasn’t the first to enter the pool so he was discouraged. Jesus asked him if he really wanted to be made hold. After all, he waited for 38 years for someone to help him into the pool for his healing. Jesus said if you want to made healed, pickup your bed and walk.
The principal is that we must take personal responsibility for going after our dreams and stop waiting for other people to help us. God and family will be there to help but ultimately, it is up to the individual. This was such a powerful message through Mr Williams. So often we put our desires away because they don’t fit with what plan your spouse or your friend or even your child has in mind. We must follow our own paths, it’s not that we won’t have struggles and obstacles , but we can not let those things stop us from continuing on our paths. It was a very encouraging episode and I invite you to check it out from the archives and get your encouragement on. Have a beautiful and prosperous week. Listen to In The Spirit
